Coeur d' Alene's Treasures 4 feet x 6 feet PLEIN AIR PAINTING |
Lake Coeur d'Alene sets about half way between the east and west borders of the Panhandle of North Idaho...a lake with many moods and beauties, with forested banks, and sandy beaches, and a world class hotel, The Coeur d'Alene Resort, sitting on it's north shore.
It was the home of The Coeur d'Alene Art Auction, that had many years welcoming wonderful collections of western art for the world to purchase at auction...painting such as Sydney Lawrence, Charley Russell, Remmington, W.H.D. Koerner, Frank Tenney Johnson, Carl Rungus, Joseph Sharp, Couse, Fechin and Leon Gaspard, to name a few.

Peter Stierle Plein Air Painter Germany
Dear Peter, Thank you for your kind words!
Sometimes it is a person like yourself that makes my
struggles worth while!
Could you let me know how you found my site? It is always interesting to
figure this out!
I just returned from one of our National Parks, Glacier, as Artist in
Residence...by mid August I should have most of the paintings showing, that I did there.
While
traveling, I met an artist from Switzerland, a couple from Germany, a family from China.
The painting was wonderful, but the people were a great gift to me
(I know that in German, the word "gift" means poison...in English, it is a very wonderful
"present".)
I hope to hear from you again! God bless, and joyous painting! Betty
