No, the sky didn't turn yellow...that's a building reflecting into the water. So, if you are creating a water piece, remember, almost anything can carry it's color throughout the water area. Just remember...THERE ARE NO ABSOLUTES in art...kind of like LIFE!

(A little philosophy here!): Some of these water lilies almost feel like they are floating on air, on a soft stillness, while others are hurrying toward sunset! None look like the other. I assumed nothing when I did any one piece...only looking for the rich DIFFERENCES!
Like our lives...the happy and the sad, the rich and the poor, the content and the angry, the leaners and the supporters. Each, needing the other, to find its bearing, to set it's course.

One of the things I get real tired of, is hearing people "blame" their problems on their childhood, or their "dysfunctional families."
Stop and think, Christ had a step Dad, and
Superman had two step parents...and they turned out GREAT!
MAYBE being DYSFUNCTIONAL is a part of the job description! Part of why we are HERE in the first place!

Reminds me of a story, of two identical twins in their 40s...one who drank excessively, and one who never touched hard liquor. When the first was asked why he drank, he said his father did, so what did the world expect from him? More of the same!! When the second brother was asked why he didn't drink, he said: "Did you know my Father? I don't want to repeat that!"
So, it really comes down to choices! And we all make them, on our own...and that's okay...the DIFFERENCES make LIFE that much more colorful...just enjoy, that which you have created!!
